Made With Love... Quick bunting

I made this bunting as a quick fix to decorate my daughters room , not very complex but pretty none the less! I have recently made some more for a work colleague that was double sided with the name of the person she was giving it to sewn on in felt! Regrettably I forgot to take pictures but will make some more and post it soon!

Made With Love... A toad stool birthday cake

I made this cake for my daughters 3rd Birthday and she loved it!

It was surprisingly easy to make using two pyrex bowls to bake the cake and covering it with icing bought from a sugar craft shop. Then I made the grass using green food colouring and sugar.... simple!

Made With Love... Spotty dog

Woof woof... I made this as a gift for a friend who is mad about doggies!

I based the idea around a project in the Cath Kidston 'Sew!' book (which I can recommend to anyone that loves Cath Kidston or like me spends many a happy hour at their sewing machine!)

Love this...

I have just discovered Clarke & Clarke...they have an array of fabrics and wall coverings including traditional and vintage inspired prints (LOVE) and couture wall coverings.

I love this 'Scottie Dog' fabric!

Somerset holiday bliss...

Love this bed spread...

Love this...

I love this room.. There is something beautiful about crisp white bed linen.. and I love the stool at the foot of the  bed... and the printed cushions... ok ok I love it all!

Welcome to my blog!

Hello all!

I have never written a blog before so here goes my first ever post!

I am starting this blog so that I can chat about all the things that I love... Clothes, fashion, vintage design, sewing, baking and just about anything home made!!

I will post about things that I have made or am making, and things that I would like to make.

And once I have got the hang of blogging I hope to post projects complete with instructions so that if any of you like minded individuals want to have a go then you can!

I don't profess to be the most capable crafter but it is something that I am passionate about!

So armed with my camera, sewing machine and a crafty mind here we go....

Cute vintage labels

I found these labels in a local sewing shop called Owl and Sewing Cat. They stock a gorgeous selection of fabrics, ribbons, buttons, patterns and lots more! Plus, they hold regular sewing sessions and run sewing workshops for all ages They have an online store where you are sure to find some beautiful fabrics to suit your needs! On top of all that they also make to order... you pick the fabrics and the design from a selection of garments and they will make if for you! AMAZING! - A sewers sweet shop!

I have used the label and fabric pictured to make a little bag to hold my best friends birthday present which I will post later!
